She was 76.
When and where did Jennifer Leak die?
Leak died at her home in Jupiter, Florida, according to Fox News’ March 29, 2024 report, which said Fox News Digital confirmed her death. Legacy.com’s obituary summary, published April 1, 2024, also gives her age, date of death and location.
What illness was reported?
Coverage identified progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) as the disease Leak had been battling. Fox News, citing the East Hampton Star, reported that she had lived with the illness for seven years. The reports reviewed do not establish a specific immediate cause of death, so PSP should be understood as her reported illness rather than a confirmed death-certificate cause.
The Mayo Clinic describes PSP as a rare brain disease that affects walking, balance, eye movements and swallowing, and says there is no cure; treatment focuses on managing symptoms. Those are general descriptions of the disease, not details about Leak’s individual symptoms or care.
