Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos surprised their daughter, Lola Consuelos, after her debut performance at The Lower Third in London on Friday, December 12, 2025. Lola had asked them not to attend because she was nervous; they went anyway, stayed out of sight during her set and revealed themselves afterward.
Where Lola performed in London
Lola’s debut performance took place at The Lower Third, a venue in London’s Soho neighborhood. TV Insider reported that the venue held around 150 people, citing Mark Consuelos’s estimate rather than an independently verified capacity. TV Insider’s December 15 report and ¡HOLA!’s December 15 coverage described the performance as Lola’s debut.
Why her parents kept the visit secret
Ripa and Consuelos said Lola had told them not to come because she was already nervous. They wanted to support her without adding the pressure of knowing her parents were in the audience. Consuelos explained the decision on Live with Kelly and Mark: “She was so nervous leading up to this thing. And we wanted to go, but we didn’t want to add any more pressure for us to be there. [We were] told not to go, and we said, ‘No problem,’” as quoted by TV Insider. Ripa added, “We didn’t want to make her nervous.”
How Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos pulled off the surprise
The couple flew to London and tried to blend into the crowd wearing hats. But the entrance was close to the stage, so they had to find a way to watch without drawing attention. Ripa filmed near a wall while Consuelos crouched beside her. They stayed hidden until the set was over, then revealed themselves to Lola.
