No. Scott Kelly did not get a job because of the viral Jonas Brothers concert clip: he had never applied for the possible role. The person reading his résumé in Buffalo was a former Army colleague considering him for an opening. The attention did, however, lead to Kelly appearing with the band on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
What happened at the Jonas Brothers concert?
On November 9, 2025, Brandon Bieron was looking at a résumé during a Jonas Brothers concert in Buffalo. An attendee filmed the unusual moment and posted the clip to TikTok the next day. The résumé was labeled “Scott Kelly Resume Sept 2025,” turning a quick glimpse of a document into an online guessing game about its owner and whether he would get hired. Spectrum News reported the concert and the résumé’s backstory.

Who is Scott Kelly, and why was his résumé being read?
Kelly is an Army veteran and a student in Emory Goizueta Business School’s Executive MBA Class of 2026, according to Emory Business’s November 15, 2025 profile. Bieron, then president of Reimer Home Services, had served in the same infantry battalion as Kelly at Fort Drum in 2014. A recruiter had flagged Kelly’s résumé for a possible managerial role, and Bieron was considering him for it, Spectrum News reported.
That context explains the clip, but not the job-search story many viewers assumed: Kelly said he had not applied for the position. The available reporting establishes a possible role and a former colleague reviewing his résumé—not a job offer or a hire.

How did Scott Kelly end up on Fallon?
The clip’s reach brought the résumé owner and the band together on television. On November 13, 2025, Jimmy Fallon surprised the Jonas Brothers by bringing Kelly onto The Tonight Show. Fallon introduced him with, “Everyone please welcome Scott Kelly. We found him,” as TMZ reported in its November 14 recap. Kelly also said he had not known who the Jonas Brothers were before the viral moment, a detail that gave the reunion an extra comic twist.

The appearance was more than a punchline about a résumé at a concert. Kelly spoke about the difficulty of moving from military service to civilian life. He said the transition was hard even with support from family, physical therapy, and Syracuse University’s Institute for Veterans and Military Families.

Kelly recalled advice from a mentor: “A mentor told me that transition takes roughly two years. It’s a process, not an event. He was right.” That figure is the mentor’s guidance as Kelly recounted it, not a universal timetable or a research finding. Kelly also said, “Transition is hard, and struggling with it is not only okay, but should be expected.”
Bieron framed the attention as worthwhile if it helped others: “Hopefully if it helps one person, I think it was all worth it,” he told Spectrum News. The viral clip began as an amusing mystery, but Kelly’s account gave it a more human point: military-to-civilian transition can be difficult, and support matters.
