The Jonas Brothers did not cancel the Jonas20 tour. In June 2025, they announced venue changes for six concerts—in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles, Detroit and Dallas—while saying the shows would remain on their scheduled dates and in the same cities. The band did not publicly confirm that ticket sales caused the changes.
What changed—and what did not
On June 13, 2025, the band posted that it was making venue changes. In a statement reproduced by UPI on June 15, it said: “We’re making some venue changes, but rest assured, all performances are still happening on the same dates and in the same cities.” UPI reported that six concerts were affected: Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles, Detroit and Dallas. UPI’s June 2025 report provides the six-market count and quotes the band’s statement.
So, despite headlines describing the group as canceling shows or ditching stadiums, the announcement was about moving performances to different venues—not scrapping the six dates or removing those cities from the tour. The available reporting does not establish the exact replacement venues for all six markets.
Why did the Jonas Brothers change the venues?
The band emphasized fan experience and did not give a specific operational or commercial reason in the statement quoted by UPI. Contemporary coverage suggested that softer ticket demand may have played a role, but that was an inference, not a reason the band confirmed. No ticket-sales figure or official statement tying sales to the venue changes is established by the sources cited here.

What Washington fans were told
For the Aug. 12, 2025 Washington-area show, the event moved from Nationals Park to Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia. The Washington Nationals’ event page listed the replacement performance at 7:30 p.m. and gave ticket instructions for that event.
- Original Nationals Park tickets were to be refunded automatically to the original payment method. The page advised allowing five to seven business days for processing.
- Fans needed new tickets for the Jiffy Lube Live performance; the original tickets did not automatically transfer.
- Prior purchasers received first-priority presale access through their Ticketmaster accounts during a June 18, 2025 window. That presale has passed.
The Nationals page also reproduced a separate band message: “We can’t wait to see you this August! We apologize for any inconvenience that this change has caused and we thank you dearly for your patience and support.” These instructions apply to the Washington event; they do not establish the refund, presale or ticket-transfer rules for the other five markets.
