Kate Middleton wore sapphire-and-diamond earrings associated with Princess Diana on 3 December 2025, as she and Prince William welcomed German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and First Lady Elke Büdenbender to the UK at Heathrow. British Vogue reported that the earrings were a wedding gift to Diana from Crown Prince Fahd of Saudi Arabia.

Vogue noted that Kate had worn the earrings before, including at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022. Tatler reports that Diana wore them on official engagements, including a royal tour to Australia and a New York fashion gala in January 1995.
How did the earrings fit into Kate’s outfit?
For the Heathrow welcome, Kate paired the earrings with a blue Alexander McQueen coat by Sarah Burton and a navy Burberry dress. Vogue reported that she had worn the coat on Christmas Day 2023.
