John Cena was spotted at a 7-Eleven on Great Eastern Highway in Ascot, Perth, on the morning of October 11, 2025, hours before his Crown Jewel: Perth match against AJ Styles. The match took place that evening; it is a past event, not an upcoming showdown.
Where fans spotted John Cena in Perth
PerthNow reported that Cena stopped at a 7-Eleven on Great Eastern Highway in Ascot on the morning of Saturday, October 11, 2025. The report also described people waiting outside the Westin hotel, but Cena was not seen there. The convenience-store stop was the sighting behind the headline. PerthNow’s report covered the local sighting and the day’s WWE events.
Why Cena was in Perth
Cena was in the city for WWE Crown Jewel: Perth, where he faced AJ Styles later that Saturday night. Their match followed Cena’s social-media post, reproduced by PerthNow: “I do not choose my opponents, but I (even through tough times) ALWAYS listen to the fans. AJ Styles are you listening? Better yet TripleH . . . are YOU listening??? #CenaVsStyles”.
Styles described the pairing this way: “I don’t know how and I don’t know why — because John Cena and I are nothing alike in any kind of way — but when we get in a ring, it’s magic.” The quote appeared in PerthNow’s pre-match coverage.

Fans and the wider WWE weekend
PerthNow described fans wearing commemorative John Cena shirts at a WWE weekend fan event. One attendee, Alise Wilton, 21, told the outlet: “Growing up watching him and seeing his career flourish has been really cool, seeing him move from wrestling to movies and TV, and then now, making a comeback to wrestling.” Her comment captured the appeal of seeing a performer known both for wrestling and for screen roles.
