Mariah Carey performed later in the special. The broadcast event was separate from a free Amazônia Live gathering at Mangueirão on 20 September.
Who performed at Amazônia Live?
Joelma led the opening performance, inviting fellow Pará artists Dona Onete, Gaby Amarantos and Zaynara to join her. The organizer later described the four performers as representing different generations of music from Pará. Mariah Carey appeared later in the special.
In its recap, gshow identified songs including “Banzeiro,” “Ex Mai Love,” “Voando pro Pará,” “Quem Manda em Mim” and “No meio do Pitiú.” These are examples mentioned in the coverage, not a complete set list. gshow’s event recap also recorded remarks from the artists. Joelma called the experience “Inesquecível,” while Zaynara welcomed the rain as a blessing.
When and where was the special held?
The special took place on 17 September 2025 in Belém, Pará, with its main stage floating on the Rio Guamá. It should not be confused with the separate free gathering at Mangueirão on 20 September. The dates, venues and formats distinguish the two moments: the Rio Guamá performance was a television special, while the Mangueirão event was a later public gathering.

What was the floating vitória-régia stage?
The stage was designed in the shape of a vitória-régia, the large water lily native to the region. The concept connected the performance visually to the Amazonian setting, while its placement on a river created practical engineering demands. In a June 2025 account, organizer Rock in Rio / The Town said the design team considered how to bring the structure into the river and account for tides. The organizer’s stage-concept announcement describes those design considerations.
How was Amazônia Live broadcast?
Before the event, Globo announced that the special would air from 18:15 on Multishow and on Globoplay with an open signal; TV Globo planned to show highlights after Estrela da Casa. These are the announced 2025 transmission details, not confirmation that a replay is currently available. The broadcaster’s announcement is available at Globo’s Amazônia Live broadcast notice.

What purpose and local support did the organizers report?
The organizers framed Amazônia Live as a music-led effort to draw attention to Amazon preservation and climate awareness. Their retrospective says a call totaling R$2 million supported six initiatives in the Belém metropolitan region, including work in bioeconomy, forest communities and entrepreneurship. A June announcement described focus areas that included women’s rights, income generation, nature conservation, community tourism, agroecology, recycling and traditional culture. Both the amount and beneficiary count are organizer-reported. The organizer’s retrospective also reports that the event reached more than 170 million people; that figure is the organizers’ claim, not an independently verified audience measurement.
