Jacksepticeye’s Thankmas 2022 raised money for World Central Kitchen (WCK), with a day-long livestream on December 10 and fundraising campaigns run by supporters across social platforms. The event announcement set a $10 million goal; Tiltify later reported a total of $10,356,339.17.
What was Thankmas 2022?
Thankmas is Jacksepticeye’s annual fundraising event. For the 2022 edition, host Seán McLoughlin chose World Central Kitchen as the beneficiary. WCK, founded by chef José Andrés, provides fresh meals in response to crises; its 2022 year-in-review describes its emergency relief work with communities affected by disasters and other crises.
McLoughlin said the organization’s mission “resonated with me and aligns with the goals of Thankmas; giving back on a global scale,” according to the event announcement. That announcement invited viewers to raise funds for WCK and set a $10 million goal.
How did the fundraiser work?
The main event was a day-long livestream on Saturday, December 10, 2022, powered by Tiltify. The campaign extended beyond the host’s stream: supporters were encouraged to create their own fundraisers through YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, TikTok, and other social platforms. This peer-to-peer approach let creators and viewers rally their own communities for the same beneficiary.

What role did Thankmas merchandise play?
Tiltify reported that its 2022 partnership with Bonfire produced Thankmas’s first merchandise run. Apparel came in black, navy, and maroon, with styles including T-shirts, hoodies, crew-neck sweatshirts, and long-sleeve shirts. Thankmas 2022 combined a central livestream with supporter-led campaigns and a merchandise effort. When comparing its reported total with another fundraiser, keep the source and scope attached to the number: the December 2022 results release said “more than $10 million,” while Tiltify’s 2023 retrospective supplied the precise total. Tiltify also reported more than 3 million YouTube views, a separate measure of reach rather than funds raised.
