Spoilers for the series finale: Yes—Clark Kent/Superman eventually dies in Superman & Lois, but not as an unresolved consequence of the season’s earlier “Death of Superman” storyline. The finale jumps ahead to the end of a long life shared with Lois.
When does Superman die in Superman & Lois?
Clark’s death comes in the series finale, “It Went By So Fast,” which originally aired on December 2, 2024. It is presented as the peaceful end of his life, after he and Lois have grown old together. TheWrap’s finale explanation describes Clark dying with his sons around him, after Lois has already died.
The CW identified “It Went By So Fast” as the series finale in its official episode listing.
Is this the same as the season’s “Death of Superman” storyline?
No. The season’s apparent or arc-level death story and the finale’s account of Clark’s eventual death are distinct points in the narrative. The finale does not leave his fate at the earlier story beat: it moves forward through the later years of Clark and Lois’s life and shows his peaceful death at the end.
