LEGO’s first physical LEGO Fortnite sets were four builds announced on July 23, 2024, and released on October 1 that year: Durrr Burger, Supply Llama, Peely Bone and Battle Bus. The banana-peeling line is a joke about Peely, Fortnite’s banana character—not a claim or slogan from LEGO. The standout banana-themed build is Peely Bone, a 1,414-piece collectible with movable arms.
What were LEGO’s first official Fortnite sets?
LEGO described the 2024 collection as its first range of sets inspired by characters, places and items in the LEGO Fortnite game. The LEGO Group announced the range and opened preorders on July 23, 2024; it said the sets would be available to all from October 1, 2024. LEGO’s announcement gives the launch details.
The headline’s “peel a banana too hard” phrasing is wordplay, not a product feature or an official LEGO quote. Peely is Fortnite’s banana character, and Peely Bone is the banana-centered set in the first wave.

Which first-wave set fits which kind of fan?
- For the banana-character hook: Peely Bone is the direct match, and it is the largest and highest-age-rated build in the original wave.
- For a smaller display piece: Durrr Burger is the lowest-piece-count set and depicts the game’s restaurant mascot.
- For an accessory-rich character build: Supply Llama includes a collection of familiar in-game items alongside the llama.
- For a vehicle build: Battle Bus offers the bus itself, rolling wheels, a removable roof and a balloon.

How did the LEGO Fortnite set range continue?
LEGO says LEGO Fortnite launched in December 2023 as the first play experience from its long-term partnership with Epic Games. The physical sets followed in 2024. In an April 24, 2025 announcement, LEGO introduced a later wave: Peely & Sparkplug’s Camp (77075), Durrr Burger Restaurant (77076), Klombo (77077) and Mecha Team Leader (77078). LEGO scheduled the first three for June 1, 2025, and Mecha Team Leader for August 1, 2025. The 2025 announcement identifies that wave as following the first physical LEGO Fortnite sets released the previous year.
Keep the product numbers straight: Durrr Burger 77070 is the original mascot display build; Durrr Burger Restaurant 77076 is a separate, later set. Product pages can also differ by country and change over time. LEGO’s US page showed 77070 at $14.99 when retrieved, while its UK listing identified it as retired in that market at that time. Those page states do not establish universal current pricing or availability. The US product listing and the UK product listing are region-specific references.

What the launch does—and does not—tell us
The launch announcement establishes the initial four products, their specifications, launch pricing in the United States and release chronology. It does not establish sales performance, popularity or market demand. Nor does it turn the banana-peeling joke into a LEGO claim: the documented connection is simply that Peely is a banana character and Peely Bone is one of the sets.
