That March uncertainty is no longer the schedule: Netflix began streaming new STEEL BALL RUN JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure episodes on Fridays, starting September 25, 2026. The director’s “I don’t know” answer came months earlier, before the release dates were announced.
When are the next Steel Ball Run episodes coming out?
Netflix’s September 25, 2026 update says the 2nd STAGE began streaming that day, with one new episode each Friday for 11 episodes. The release of the 2nd and 3rd STAGE is split-cour, meaning it is divided into separate broadcast or streaming periods; Netflix’s announcement does not give exact dates for episodes beyond the stated Friday cadence. Netflix’s update identifies the series as a worldwide release.
David Production had announced on July 9 that the 11-episode 2nd & 3rd STAGE would begin worldwide exclusive advance streaming on Netflix every Friday from September 25, 2026. The studio’s announcement established a future schedule; Netflix’s September update confirms the 2nd STAGE had started.
What did the director say in March?
In a March 20, 2026 interview, director Yasuhiro Kimura was asked when viewers would see more episodes. He replied: “I want to see it soon, too! When will it be? I don’t know.” The interview noted that no date for the next episode had been set as of its publication. Anime Trending’s interview captures that earlier moment, before the July schedule announcement.
