There is no reliable public ranking of Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s businesses from most to least lucrative: the available reporting does not provide comparable current revenue, profit, or valuation figures for their private companies. The strongest documented scale signal is Beyoncé’s music and touring operation, with Parkwood Entertainment managing her career and producing her work. Jay-Z’s spirits stakes have produced notable transactions, but the reporting available here does not establish comparable current sales or profits. The figures below are therefore a guide to documented scale—not an audited league table of business profitability.
What the available figures can—and cannot—rank
“Lucrative” can mean ticket sales, merchandise sales, company revenue, a business valuation, an artist’s earnings, or cash received from selling a stake. Those are different measures. A tour’s gross does not show the artist’s take-home income; personal earnings are not company revenue; and a reported stake sale does not reveal the seller’s proceeds unless the terms are disclosed.

Forbes’ reporting identifies Beyoncé’s music, catalog rights, and global touring as the primary sources of her wealth. It also describes Parkwood Entertainment’s integrated role in managing her career and producing music, documentaries, and concerts. That model may let Beyoncé capture more of the production economics, but it does not disclose Parkwood’s profit or valuation. For Jay-Z, Forbes documents business involvement and ownership transactions, but the cited reporting does not provide a comparable set of operating results.
The clearest public scale signals
| Signal | Reported figure and period | What it measures | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cowboy Carter Tour tickets | More than $400 million in ticket sales, reported by Pollstar and relayed by Forbes in 2025 | Tour ticket sales | Not Beyoncé’s personal earnings, Parkwood’s revenue, or profit |
| Cowboy Carter Tour merchandise | $50 million in merchandise sold at shows, a Forbes estimate in 2025 | Estimated merchandise sales at the shows | Not a disclosed profit figure or a measure of Beyoncé’s personal share |
| Beyoncé’s 2025 earnings | $148 million in pre-tax earnings, estimated by Forbes for 2025 | An individual earnings estimate combining touring, catalog, and sponsorship income | Not revenue from one company or brand |
| Renaissance World Tour | Nearly $600 million grossed, according to Forbes’ 2025 report on the 2023 tour | Tour gross | Not the amount Beyoncé personally retained or a recurring annual figure |
| Beyoncé’s music catalog | $300 million estimated value, attributed to sources cited by Forbes in 2023 | A catalog valuation estimate | Not annual catalog income or a current company valuation |
| Beyoncé’s personal wealth | $1 billion real-time net-worth estimate on Forbes’ profile as of October 6, 2026 | An estimate of an individual’s wealth | Not a business’s revenue, valuation, or cash balance |
| Earlier personal-wealth estimate | $800 million, estimated by Forbes in December 2023 | A historical estimate of Beyoncé’s net worth | Not directly comparable to a tour gross, company value, or earnings figure |
These figures show why a single ordered list would mislead. Even the largest numbers describe different things and cover different periods. The tour and merchandise figures are sales measures; the earnings and net-worth figures concern Beyoncé personally; the catalog figure is a valuation estimate. None supplies a standardized comparison with the operating profits of Jay-Z’s companies or brands.

Beyoncé: the strongest measurable engine is music and touring
Parkwood connects the operation
Forbes describes Parkwood Entertainment as founded by Beyoncé in 2010. It manages her career and produces her music, documentaries, and concerts, fronting production costs to capture more of the back-end economics. Beyoncé explained her preference for direct control in a 2013 interview promoting her self-titled album: “When I decided to manage myself, it was important that I didn’t go to some big management company.” The structure helps explain how her music and touring operation can function as a connected business, but public reporting cited here does not state Parkwood’s revenue, profit, or valuation.
Other ventures are not publicly rankable on these figures
Forbes identifies Cécred hair care and SirDavis whiskey among Beyoncé’s other ventures, but does not provide comparable current revenue figures for them. Ivy Park apparel should not be treated as an active growth business: Forbes reports that the line was discontinued in 2024. Without current comparable sales or profit data, the brands cannot be reliably ordered against one another or against Parkwood’s music and touring operation.
Rank #2
Jay-Z: documented spirits deals, undisclosed comparable results
Forbes reports that Jay-Z co-founded Roc Nation and has held stakes in Tidal and the 40/40 Club. It also reports two significant spirits transactions: he sold 50% of Armand de Brignac to LVMH in 2021, and a majority of his D’Usse stake to Bacardi in 2023. These are evidence of ownership activity and deal timing, not a complete measure of how much Jay-Z received or what either brand currently earns. The available reporting here does not state comparable current brand sales, operating profits, or his realized proceeds from those transactions.
That distinction matters: a stake sale can be financially important without revealing the company’s current performance or the seller’s exact proceeds. Nor does the sale of part or most of a stake, as described in the reporting, establish that Jay-Z retains a particular current ownership percentage beyond the stated transaction terms.

Rank #3
A responsible reading of the ranking
- Most measurable scale: Beyoncé’s music and touring operation, supported by reported tour figures and Parkwood’s production role. This is the clearest public scale evidence, not proof that it has the highest profit or valuation.
- Meaningful but unquantified here: Jay-Z’s spirits portfolio, for which reported stake transactions establish activity but not comparable current operating results or proceeds.
- Not rankable from comparable figures: individual brands and companies—including Beyoncé’s Cécred and SirDavis, and Jay-Z’s other reported holdings—where the cited coverage does not establish comparable current revenue or profit.
Forbes chairman of IAG Dennis Arfa captured the exceptional scale of Beyoncé’s draw in a 2023 interview: “She’s one of the music gods,” adding that “The business she does, and the amount of people that she draws, that she can do a movie on her own. She can do things most can’t.” That describes her reach; it is not a financial statement for any one business.
