The reported direction suggests a possible Colorado journey for the Ghoul within a wider story that may send characters toward different destinations. Jonathan Nolan has also said the team wants to try building Liberty Prime for real; that is an ambition, not confirmation the robot has been built or will appear.
What is the Fallout Season 3 “Colorado twist”?
Colorado is a possible direction for the Ghoul, not a confirmed destination for the entire cast or the season. The discussion followed the Season 2 finale and an interview with Jonathan Nolan, but co-showrunner Geneva Robertson-Dworet cautioned against assuming that Lucy, Max, and the other characters are all heading there. The Ghoul’s route is not settled either.

Robertson-Dworet described the series’ expanding map as part of its storytelling approach: “In Fallout, you’re always journeying and exploring and building your map out bigger, so that’s what we want to be mimetic of,” she told GamesRadar in March 2026. That points to a branching journey, rather than a single confirmed setting for every character.
What has Amazon confirmed about Season 3?
Amazon’s Season 3 update, last updated June 19, 2026, says the series is officially returning to Prime Video and filming began in Los Angeles that month. Amazon had not announced a release date as of that update. Those details can change; the update does not establish when the season will premiere.

Amazon also reported that the first two seasons drew more than 100 million viewers worldwide. It ranked Season 2 among Prime Video’s top four most-watched seasons during its first 13 weeks streaming. Both figures are Amazon’s own platform-reported claims.
Will Liberty Prime appear in Fallout Season 3?
The Season 2 post-credits scene shows blueprints for Liberty Prime Alpha, according to GamesRadar. Jonathan Nolan, an executive producer, said he had been pressing co-showrunners Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner about bringing the giant robot into the series. He told GamesRadar in February 2026, “Now we just need to figure out how to build it. That’s the fun part.”

Nolan also described a preference for attempting practical construction: “Oh, 100%. We always try. We always try first and see if we can build it for real, and we often get there.” The comments show interest in trying to build the robot physically; they do not confirm that a build is complete or that Liberty Prime will feature in Season 3.

Liberty Prime was introduced in the video game Fallout 3, as GamesRadar notes. That game is useful context for the robot’s significance, but it is not a Season 3 tie-in or an announcement of new merchandise. The post-credits blueprints and Nolan’s remarks establish creative interest, not a confirmed on-screen appearance.
