In November 2024, PerthNow reported that Jack Schlossberg shared an Instagram video from streets that looked like Fremantle, followed by a TikTok farewell from Perth Airport. The report did not confirm the street location, give the video’s recording date or explain why he was in Australia.
What was reported about the Fremantle sighting?
In a report published on 21 November 2024, PerthNow journalist Kellie Balaam said Schlossberg had been sightseeing in Fremantle. One of his Instagram videos showed streets that the outlet said looked recognisably like the city; it did not identify a specific street or independently verify where the video was filmed. PerthNow also did not give an exact recording date, so the post should be understood as a reported sighting from that period, not a confirmed itinerary. Read PerthNow’s report.

PerthNow’s account of the farewell.
Why was Jack Schlossberg in Australia?
The November 2024 report did not say. Schlossberg did not explain his reason for spending time in Australia in the posts described by PerthNow. The available account also does not establish that this was an official visit, or that his mother’s public role had anything to do with his presence.

Who is Jack Schlossberg?
Schlossberg is the son of Caroline Kennedy and designer Edwin Schlossberg, and the only grandson of President John F. Kennedy, according to an ABC News profile published on 19 October 2024. ABC News’s profile gives that family context. In prepared remarks for the Democratic National Convention on 20 August 2024, Schlossberg said, “President John F. Kennedy is my grandfather, and he’s my hero.” The convention’s prepared remarks.
PerthNow described Schlossberg as Vogue’s political correspondent in a profile published 24 July 2024, ahead of that year’s US election. That is historical context, not confirmation of his employment or role today. PerthNow’s July 2024 profile.
