What the reported clarification said
In a May 7, 2025 report, The FADER said a representative for artist Henry Taylor identified the face as one of Taylor’s neighbors, not Parks. The representative reportedly explained that the figures came from Taylor’s existing artworks, which he provided to LVMH for Pharrell Williams’s Louis Vuitton debut collection in 2023. The FADER
Hyperallergic also described Taylor’s portraits on the outfit and situated the look within the 2025 Met Gala theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” Hyperallergic

What is established—and what is not
The available coverage reports a representative’s correction; it does not provide an independently authenticated identification of the person shown, nor does it establish a direct statement from Taylor or Louis Vuitton. The careful conclusion is that the face was reported by Taylor’s representative to depict a neighbor, rather than Rosa Parks.
