What did Ireland Baldwin say about Kim Kardashian’s bag?
In an Instagram Story, Baldwin wrote: “This is so disgusting and shameful. I don’t understand how these people are supported the way they are,” according to The Independent. Us Weekly reported that Baldwin had first commented “This is … Beyond” on a Reel showing Kardashian with the bag.
The criticism focused on the bag’s reported elephant-hide association and its appearance in the show. It did not establish that Kardashian owned or wore an authentic elephant-leather Birkin.
How the bag appeared in All’s Fair
On November 21, 2025, fashion-focused creator Daniel Wesson, who runs Birkin Junky, posted an Instagram Reel showing Kardashian with a gray Hermès handbag in a scene from All’s Fair and during a filming break, Us Weekly reported. The Independent identified the scene as episode two of the Hulu legal drama, in which Kardashian plays Allura Grant.

Kardashian’s TikTok fashion breakdown referred to the item as a “really rare Birkin.” That description, along with online accounts and news coverage describing the bag as elephant hide, fueled the controversy. But The Independent said the leather’s origin remained unclear. It also recounted a story that a custom order had been made in the 1980s for a client who brought elephant hide from a hunting safari; that reported history does not verify the provenance of the bag used on the show.
Was the All’s Fair bag real elephant leather?
There are two separate claims, and they should not be conflated: coverage discussed a purported authentic elephant-hide Birkin, while Kardashian later said the item on set was fake. The available reporting does not independently authenticate the prop or establish that it was made from elephant hide.

In a January 2026 appearance on Khloé Kardashian’s podcast, Kim Kardashian said: “That was a bag that is fake, that we bought for extra props,” The Daily Beast reported. She said bags were left on set for wardrobe use.

Kardashian also said she was annoyed with herself because viewers might take the bag’s appearance as a signal that an “elephant Birkin was okay,” adding that people did not know whether the item was real or fake and that she wished she had made a better choice. Those are Kardashian’s statements about the prop and her reaction; the cited reporting does not include an independent authentication.
