What is known about Travolta’s dating life?
Public reporting has not confirmed that Travolta has a new partner. In May 2026, Tuko said he had not publicly introduced anyone as a significant other and reported rumors linking him with Kim Basinger. The same report said neither had confirmed or denied the rumor. Travolta and Kelly Preston’s relationship
Travolta and Preston met during a screen test for the 1989 comedy The Experts and married in 1991. Preston died in July 2020 at age 57 after breast cancer; their marriage had lasted nearly 30 years. EL PAÍS’s 2024 profile recounts their relationship and family life.
How Travolta has spoken about grief
In an interview with Esquire Spain reported by ABC News in April 2021, Travolta said, “I learned that crying and mourning over someone is something personal.” He also said, “Mourning is individual and experiencing your own journey is what can lead to healing.” Those remarks describe his view of mourning; they do not address whether he wants to date. ABC News reported the interview.

His public tributes to Preston
On Mother’s Day in May 2024, Travolta shared photographs of Preston and their family and wrote, “We love you we miss you.” Good Morning America reported the tribute. Remembering Preston publicly is not a statement that he has ruled out a future relationship.
In June 2026, Parade reported Travolta discussing loss and dedicating a film to late family members. His comment, “I can look at the darkness, but I don’t choose to die in that darkness,” offers context about coping with grief, not evidence about his dating life. Parade’s coverage concerns those remarks rather than a confirmed relationship.
