The Glastonbury 2025 ticket sales are over, but their official guidance shows what could reduce avoidable booking problems: register every intended ticket-holder, arrive at the official See Tickets page before the sale starts, keep the queue page open without refreshing, and have the right details and payment ready. None of these steps guaranteed a ticket; places were allocated only after payment processed.
What actually improved your chances in the 2025 sale?
There was no official shortcut to a better queue position. For the 2025 sale, people already on the official sales page when the sale opened were randomly assigned a place; people who arrived later joined the back. Preparation mattered because it helped avoid errors once a booking opportunity came up, not because it changed the odds of being selected.
The festival’s 2025 Ticket Sale FAQ, published 5 November 2024, cautioned that “registration does not guarantee you a ticket (and in recent years, demand for tickets has outstripped supply).” The official information does not give a measured probability of success or establish that any preparation improved an individual’s odds.
Prepare before the sale
Check registration for everyone in your group
Each person aged 13 or over who wanted to attend needed a valid registration. Check existing registration details well ahead of the sale, and leave enough time to submit a new registration if required. Registration was free and required a passport-style photograph, according to the festival’s 2025 sale announcement.

Gather the booking and payment details

The official FAQ described a 10-minute window for entering ticket-holder information, followed by a separate payment session. Tickets were allocated only after payment processed, so reaching the booking form was not enough.
What to do when the queue opens
- Use the official sales channel, glastonbury.seetickets.com, and be on the page before the advertised start. For the 2025 sale, people present at the start received randomly assigned queue places.
- Keep the page open and wait. The festival advised: “Please do not refresh this page or use multiple devices or tabs or you may lose your place in the queue.”
- When the booking page opens, enter each person’s registration number and registered postcode carefully, then complete payment and any required card authentication within the session.
These instructions describe the 2025 sale and are not dates or procedures for a future festival. Check the festival’s official site and ticketing partner announcements for any later sale.

General admission or ticket-plus-coach?
The two options had different sale times and practical requirements. The official sources do not establish that either gave an individual a better chance of success.

Choose the coach option only if the departure town, route and travel time work for the whole group. The festival said over 22,000 coach-plus-ticket packages for Glastonbury 2025 were sold in advance of general sale as part of its green-travel commitment; that figure does not show that coach buyers had better odds.

What to know about the 2025 resale
The resale was scheduled for 24 April 2025 for ticket-plus-coach and 27 April 2025 for general admission. The festival described availability as very limited. How to avoid ticket scams
For the 2025 festival, tickets were sold exclusively through See Tickets. The festival warned that general admission tickets were non-transferable, featured the authorised ticket-holder’s photo, and were subject to identity checks at entry. Avoid social-media offers and unofficial sellers: an apparent ticket may not be transferable or usable. Read the festival’s ticket-scam warning before relying on an offer.

There is no official evidence that buying a particular phone, computer, internet device or other physical item improves ticket allocation chances. The useful preparation is having registration details, accurate booking information and payment ready, and following the official queue instructions.
