I can’t identify a specific techno song from the request alone: there’s no recording, lyric, melody, or other clue to match. Share a short audio sample or whatever you remember about it, and the search can start from evidence rather than guesswork.
What would help identify the song?
The most useful clue is a recording of the track. If you can replay it, capture a short sample that includes the distinctive part—such as a vocal, melody, synth sound, or drop—and submit it to WatZatSong’s electro song-identification community. The service invites users to upload a short sample for community members to try to identify it; that is a route to suggestions, not a guarantee of a match.
If you don’t have audio, share any details you can recall:
- Words or fragments of lyrics, even if you are unsure of the wording.
- How the main melody or rhythm goes, described in words or hummed in a recording.
- Distinctive sounds, such as a particular synth, vocal sample, or percussion pattern.
- Approximately when and where you heard it, and whether it sounded like a live set, a recording, or a remix.
Can an audio-recognition app help?
If you hear the recording again, try an audio-recognition app such as Shazam while the song is playing. One forum user reported identifying a song that way after hearing it again, but that anecdote does not establish that an app will recognize every track. If it returns no result, a sample and listener-provided clues can still help narrow the search.

Why I can’t offer a title yet
“Techno” covers many sounds, and a broad genre label does not distinguish one track from another. A 2001 discussion titled “Help me find this techno song” drew multiple guesses from a vague description, illustrating why a guess without a specific clue should not be treated as a match. Unrelated song-identification posts or search results are not evidence that any particular track is the one you mean.
What to check if you get possible matches
When someone suggests a title, compare it with the remembered recording rather than relying on genre alone. Check the vocal or instrumental hook, any lyrics, the tempo and arrangement, the release era, and whether the suggestion is the original track or a particular remix or version.
