The WWE star spotted in new set photos from Henry Cavill’s Highlander reboot is Drew McIntyre. Reporting on images posted by BBC Scotland News places McIntyre alongside Cavill, Karen Gillan and Kevin McKidd at Eilean Donan Castle in Scotland. The images are set-photo reporting, not a studio-issued first-look package.
Who is the WWE star in the new Highlander set photos?
It is Drew McIntyre, the Scottish WWE performer and actor who is part of the reboot’s cast. Dark Horizons reported that McIntyre is expected to play Connor MacLeod’s brother, Angus; that role has not been presented as confirmed. Dark Horizons’ set-photo report identifies the castle images as posted by BBC Scotland News.
What is shown in the Scotland photos?
The report places McIntyre, Henry Cavill, Karen Gillan and Kevin McKidd filming at Eilean Donan Castle. This establishes a reported filming location and the people seen there, but the images alone do not confirm plot details or character relationships. For the wider production, Screen Global Production reported on April 16, 2026 that filming had been underway since February in Scotland and London, with the shoot expected to move to the Scottish Highlands, Poland and Hong Kong. Who is playing whom in the reboot?
TheWrap reported on January 28, 2026 that Cavill plays Connor MacLeod, the central immortal duelist, and Dave Bautista plays the antagonist, the Kurgan. McIntyre is in the cast, with Angus reported as his expected role—not the Kurgan.
