A Film & Television Industry Alliance production-list entry, last updated October 2, 2026, reports that production and principal photography are complete. That is secondary status reporting, not a studio or government announcement. The listing also calls the project a “series,” which conflicts with Screen Queensland’s description of a feature film, so the completion claim should be treated cautiously.
Who is in the Voltron cast?
The cast named in Screen Queensland’s filming announcement includes Henry Cavill, Sterling K. Brown, Daniel Quinn-Toye, Rita Ora, John Kim, Alba Baptista, Samson Kayo, and Tharanya Tharan. The announcement identifies Thurber as director.

What else did Queensland announce about filming?
Screen Queensland said the production was expected to employ approximately 825 screen practitioners. Queensland Arts Minister John-Paul Langbroek estimated that it would bring more than $100 million into Queensland’s economy, including hundreds of screen-industry jobs and a boost for local businesses. These were projections announced when filming began; no final employment or economic-impact totals are established by the cited announcement.
Are Voltron movie toys or action figures coming?
Hasbro announced on February 4, 2026, a licensing collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios to produce action figures, toys, and roleplay products inspired by the live-action film. The announcement did not specify product models, prices, or release dates, so specific Voltron movie toys are not yet established by that announcement.
