That distinction matters: the recap supports saying she introduced two album tracks, not identifying a particular song as the new single she performed. Universal Music Canada’s album announcement names “Double Team” as a new single released with the album announcement, but it does not say that Anitta performed it at the Latin AMAs.
What is Funk Generation?
Funk Generation is Anitta’s album centered on funk carioca, the Brazilian funk genre. Universal Music Canada announced on March 21, 2024 that the album would be released April 26, 2024 through Republic Records, Universal Music Latin Entertainment, and Universal Music Canada.

- Newest album from Brazilian global superstar, Anitta
In the label’s announcement, Anitta described the project as a celebration of her Brazilian roots and Rio’s funk, emphasizing the genre’s danceable sound and its cultural origins. That framing helps explain why the Latin AMAs recap presented the album tracks in the show’s urban segment.

Universal Music Canada described “Double Team,” featuring Brray and Bad Gyal, as a new single and music video released alongside the album announcement. The label characterized the track as Spanish-language music blended with Portuguese and English. The announcement does not connect “Double Team” to Anitta’s Latin AMAs performance, so its appearance in that set is not established by these sources.
