Matty J and Laura Byrne announced a third pregnancy on 30 April 2025. Their daughter Lola shared the news in a family video; later coverage reported that the couple welcomed their third daughter, Poppy Pearl Johnson, in September 2025.

The announcement video was led by Lola, then four, who said, “Hi everyone, I got a baby in my mum’s tummy and I’m so excited.” Byrne captioned the post, “We are SO SO SO EXCITED!!!! Johnson #3 under construction,” as reported by PerthNow on 30 April 2025.
What was known about the baby at the time
When Byrne discussed the pregnancy in contemporary coverage, she was reported to be 18 weeks pregnant, with an October 2025 due date. The couple later revealed during a radio appearance that they were expecting a girl, according to PerthNow.
Why Matty J learned about the pregnancy after filming
Byrne said she learned she was pregnant while Johnson was filming I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! She waited until after the finale to tell him. Johnson also spoke about the news on Two Doting Dads, as reported by PerthNow.

The couple’s family and their third daughter
Byrne and Johnson met on season five of The Bachelor Australia. Before the pregnancy announcement, they had two daughters: Marlie-Mae, born in 2019, and Lola, born in 2021, according to Now To Love. Later coverage reported that their third daughter, Poppy Pearl Johnson, was born in September 2025: PerthNow.
