Rosa has said the face paint was first suggested for a Lucha event, where organizers painted her face to help attract more Latino fans. Her uncle, she said, framed her wrestling career and face paint as a way to represent people who had passed away and remember them positively. As Rosa put it, “You remember people that passed away in a positive way, or in a happy way for your whole life.” Fightful reported her account.

How long does it take her to apply?
In an interview transcribed by Fightful on September 27, 2026, Rosa said the process depends on the artist and the time available. She sometimes does simple designs herself and can complete her face paint in 30 minutes when rushed. That is an occasional, time-pressured estimate, not a fixed application time.
