It fired bullets and, according to a contemporary guide, played Rap God lyrics as part of its effect. It was a limited-time in-game feature—not a real firearm or a physical replica.
What was the RG Minigun?
The RG Minigun was a Mythic weapon in Fortnite Battle Royale, named for Eminem’s song “Rap God.” GamesRadar+ reported that lyrics from the track came out along with the weapon’s bullets, making the song part of the weapon’s audiovisual effect. The guide does not provide weapon statistics such as damage or rate of fire, so those figures should not be inferred from its name or presentation. How players got it
During the feature, Eminem appeared as a boss at Spaghetti Grotto. GamesRadar+ says players who defeated him could obtain the RG Minigun. This describes the 2024 seasonal encounter, not a permanent way to unlock the weapon.
When it appeared
The weapon belonged to Chapter 2 Remix. Epic announced that the season ran from November 2 through November 30, 2024, ending at 10 PM ET. Epic’s announcement placed Eminem at The Grotto, while GamesRadar+ reported that his feature began in Week 2, on November 7. The gun was therefore a past seasonal feature, not something established as currently available. Epic Games’ Chapter 2 Remix announcement

How the gun fits into Eminem’s Fortnite history
Eminem’s Fortnite appearances began before the RG Minigun. In December 2023, he appeared in The Big Bang live event and was offered as an Item Shop outfit; Epic scheduled the event for December 2, 2023, at 2 PM ET. That collaboration and its cosmetics were separate from the boss encounter and weapon added during Chapter 2 Remix the following year. Epic’s announcement of The Big Bang
Eminem’s official site also promoted Eminem x Fortnite merchandise and vinyl in December 2023. Those were physical collaboration products, not a real-world version of the RG Minigun. Eminem’s official Eminem x Fortnite page
