What is known about the Pink Panther reboot?
The latest clear statement in the cited sources is Murphy’s 2025 confirmation that he will play Clouseau. The project had appeared in earlier development reporting: on May 17, 2023, TheWrap reported that Murphy was “in talks” for the role. That article also named Jeff Fowler as director, Chris Bremner as screenwriter, and Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich as producers. Its live-action/CG hybrid description and premise were attributed to The Hollywood Reporter. How Murphy’s casting fits the franchise
The Pink Panther was the name of a diamond in the 1963 first film. Peter Sellers became closely associated with Inspector Clouseau in the early films; the character was also played by Alan Arkin and Roger Moore. Steve Martin led the 2006 reboot, The Pink Panther, and its 2009 sequel, The Pink Panther 2.
