In its February 2025 explanation, Billboard said one unit represented one album sale, 10 individual track sales from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by an album’s songs. These are the conversion values described in that report; they should not be assumed to represent any later methodology without checking Billboard’s current rules.
