#1 Best Overall
What the excerpt reveals about the story
As summarized in the excerpt, the action unfolds in Colombia’s La Guajira desert, amid cartel violence and a plane wreck. Dominique is described as a trained female killer caught up in violence involving cartels and authorities in a South American community; she chooses to protect a family. The available excerpt does not establish further plot details, so its mention of twists should not be treated as a full synopsis.
How the film’s tone shifts
Roman says Dominique first looks like familiar VOD action fare, then changes into a more shocking and violent story. That contrast is the review’s clearest indication of what may distinguish the film for viewers: its escalation, alongside Orlan’s physical screen presence. The excerpt does not provide enough detail to assess the film’s action choreography, pacing, or the execution of its twists.
