What was the release time for Episode 8?
The episode-specific release schedule placed the Japanese broadcast at 11:15 p.m. JST on May 28, 2023. It listed the subtitled international release three and a half hours later, at the following U.S. times:
- Eastern Time: 1:45 p.m. ET
- Central Time: 12:45 p.m. CT
- Pacific Time: 10:45 a.m. PT
These are the historical schedule times for the 2023 release, not an upcoming premiere time. ComingSoon’s episode release guide gives the date, time zones and delay after the Japanese broadcast.
What is the episode called?
Episode 8 is titled “The Mu in Muichiro.” It belongs to the Swordsmith Village Arc, which is commonly referred to as Demon Slayer Season 3. The official English-language Demon Slayer site posted an “Episode 8 updated” notice on May 22, 2023.

Where was it streaming?
The 2023 release guide named Crunchyroll as the destination for the subtitled international simulcast. That identifies the service reported for the original release; it does not confirm that the episode is currently available in every country or on the same terms. Check the listings for your region for present-day access and language options. Crunchyroll’s May 2023 calendar also listed the series among its simulcast programming, though it does not independently establish Episode 8’s specific release time.
What happens in Episode 8?
