Who are the Ubuyashiki family?
The Ubuyashiki family leads the Demon Slayer Corps. The official anime character profiles identify Kagaya Ubuyashiki as the Corps’ head and Amane Ubuyashiki as his wife. These are the central family facts established by those profiles; they do not provide a complete family tree.
Why does the family matter to the Corps’ fight against Muzan?
The official Hashira Training Arc story page presents the training as preparation for the Corps’ final battle against Muzan. Its Episode 8 synopsis brings the conflict directly to the Ubuyashiki mansion: Kagaya meets Muzan there, with the episode framing their encounter as the culmination of a continuous thousand-year fate.
The synopsis contrasts Kagaya’s steadfast desire to defeat Muzan with Muzan’s dream of eternity. That framing makes the meeting more than a confrontation at the Corps leader’s home: it connects the family’s place at the head of the Corps to the long-running conflict with its enemy.

What is known about the family’s history and curse?
The official profile and arc pages establish Kagaya’s role, Amane’s relationship to him, and the thousand-year framing of his meeting with Muzan. They do not explain the curse often associated with the family, lay out its mechanics, or give a child-by-child family tree. Those details should not be inferred from the profiles alone; a fuller account requires the relevant manga passages and involves later-story spoilers.

VIZ lists Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba—Corps Records, a general guide to the franchise rather than a guide devoted specifically to the Ubuyashiki family.
