Yes—Jennifer Hale has said she would love to play Bayonetta again. That is her personal interest in returning, not confirmation that she has been hired, approached, or cast in another game. Hale made the remark while reflecting on the controversy surrounding her casting in Bayonetta 3.
What Jennifer Hale said about returning
In an interview with GAMINGbible, as quoted by Video Games Chronicle, Hale said: “I’d love to play Bayonetta again.” She also said she had checked the situation before accepting the audition, trusted the director, enjoyed playing the character, and valued the community’s welcome after the controversy had passed. VGC’s report reproduces her remarks.

Her enthusiasm should not be read as a casting announcement. No future Bayonetta role for Hale is confirmed in the available reporting.
Why the casting became controversial
Hellena Taylor voiced Bayonetta in the earlier games. Hale took over the role in Bayonetta 3, released for Nintendo Switch on October 28, 2022. In 2022, Taylor publicly criticized the compensation she said she had been offered to return and urged fans to boycott the game.
#1 Best Overall
- Witch fell her angel with her smile and beautiful black hair
- The Nintendo Switch is the origin of the action game series that works with the beautiful and brutal witch "Beyonetta"
- The thrill of throwing off your enemy attacks with a single sheet of paper, and the variety of combos will overwhelm your enemy. You can enjoy brilliant and extreme climax action with the angels of attacking
Hale said at the time that an NDA limited what she could say. In the later interview, she described feeling exposed by the episode: “I definitely got thrown under the bus by that whole thing, and I was unable to speak on my own behalf because I was under not one but two NDAs,” VGC quoted her as saying.
What was reported about Taylor’s compensation claims
The figures in the dispute come from Taylor’s account as reported by GameSpot; the reporting does not provide contract records or recording-session documentation. They should therefore be understood as reported claims, not independently audited contract terms.
Rank #2
- Journey into the Avalon Forest as Cereza—a young Bayonetta—and her very first demon, Cheshire, to gain the power to save her mother
- Control both Cereza and Cheshire simultaneously and coordinate to solve puzzles and beat faeries
- Colorful environments look as if they were painted by hand, and fully narrated story scenes are told through the vibrantly illustrated pages of a storybook
- Taylor initially said she had been offered $4,000 to reprise the role.
- She later acknowledged an offer of $15,000 for recording across multiple sessions, according to GameSpot’s 2025 report.
- In Taylor’s later account, the separate $4,000 offer was for one session and came after the $15,000 offer. GameSpot also reported that she said she requested $250,000 and was turned down.
That reported sequence adds context to the dispute, but does not establish the complete terms of the proposed work or settle every question about the negotiations.

There is a sign of broader franchise interest, but not a confirmed next game or casting decision. In an October 4, 2026 report, GamesRadar quoted PlatinumGames president Atsushi Inaba expressing a desire to develop Bayonetta’s character and world further while saying he could not say what form a future project would take. That statement does not confirm a production timetable or Hale’s involvement. GamesRadar’s report has the franchise comments.
