Spoilers for Dandadan season two, episode 24. The mysterious girl Okarun finds inside the defeated space kaiju kisses him after she wakes. Momo sees them. The finale does not reveal the girl’s name or explain how she ended up inside the kaiju, leaving both questions for the next season.
What happens at the end of Dandadan season two?
Episode 24, the season-two finale, ends after the group defeats the space kaiju. Okarun notices a zipper on the creature, opens it and discovers a girl inside. When she wakes, she kisses him, and Momo witnesses the moment. ABEMA Times identifies the finale as “Clash! Space Kaiju vs. Giant Robot!” and also describes the kiss and Momo seeing it (ABEMA Times).

The kiss is the closing twist, not a resolution to the girl’s story. The official anime announcement describes her as a girl found inside the kaiju and points to her identity and reason for being there as questions for what comes next (Dandadan official anime announcement).
Who is the girl who kisses Okarun?
In the official announcement, she is not named; “the mysterious girl” or “the girl found inside the kaiju” is the accurate description. The finale establishes where Okarun finds her and that she kisses him, but not who she is or why she was inside the creature. Treating a particular identity as confirmed would go beyond what the cited announcement says.

Is it really Okarun’s first kiss?
The finale shows the girl kissing Okarun, but the cited official announcement does not claim this is the first kiss of his life or make a series-wide statement about earlier contact. “Okarun’s first kiss” works as a punchy headline, but the evidence supports the narrower description: this is the kiss that closes season two, and it is not with Momo.
What does the finale leave unresolved?
- The girl’s identity.
- Why she was inside the space kaiju.
- What the kiss means for Okarun and Momo after Momo has seen it.
The official announcement frames the girl’s identity and origin as questions for the next season rather than answers supplied by episode 24.
