What did David Gilmour announce?
In an official announcement on July 29, 2025, Gilmour said: “I’m thrilled to announce that a live film of my 2024 Rome concerts is coming to cinemas and IMAX® worldwide on Wednesday 17th September.” The planned cinema engagement was described as limited. The announcement covered two related but distinct releases: a film documenting a Rome concert and an album drawing on performances from selected shows across the tour. The album is not simply the film’s audio track.

What is on The Luck and Strange Concerts?
The live album contains 23 tracks recorded at selected tour performances. Its repertoire combines Gilmour solo songs with Pink Floyd material. Named tracks include “Between Two Points,” featuring Romany Gilmour, as well as “Time,” “Wish You Were Here,” “Sorrow” and “Comfortably Numb.” Sony announced the album in 4-LP and 2-CD formats; the official catalogue specifies a 24-page booklet with both editions.
