They have grown closer, but returning to ordinary school life leaves their relationship awkward. Momo visits Okarun’s classroom about a golden ball spotted in the housing complex, where she finds him talking with a curious classmate. The missing-ball problem remains unresolved as the episode sets up the next turn in their story.
What happens in episode 5?
The episode begins in the aftermath of Momo and Okarun’s confrontation with Turbo Granny. Having survived the traumatic experience, they are able to return to a more peaceful routine, but the shift back to normal does not make things simple between them. They are closer than before and awkward around each other.
That unsettled school-life dynamic meets Okarun’s continuing search for his missing golden balls. GKIDS’ episode synopsis says Momo goes to his classroom to tell him about a golden ball spotted in the housing complex. There, she finds Okarun speaking with a curious classmate. The available episode listings establish that setup, but do not provide a complete scene-by-scene account or dialogue.
Who is the curious classmate?
The classmate is Aira. Disney+ identifies her in its listing for episode 6 as having one of Okarun’s missing golden balls. That next-episode information clarifies why her introduction matters, but it should not be mistaken for a full resolution of the missing-ball plot in episode 5.

What is the ending setup?
Episode 5 leaves Okarun’s missing-ball problem active and introduces a classmate connected to it. Crunchyroll’s synopsis also says Okarun discloses something important to Momo. The platform summaries do not establish the exact wording or all the intervening events, so the safest spoiler takeaway is the change in their relationship and the new complication involving Aira—not a reconstructed beat-by-beat ending.

GKIDS’ episode listing places Momo’s classroom visit in the golden-ball storyline, while Disney+’s listing supplies Aira’s connection in its episode 6 synopsis. The anime is based on Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga, as noted on the GKIDS series page. A manga volume can be a companion to the anime, but the available chapter mapping does not establish that a specific paperback contains every chapter adapted in this episode.
