Spoilers for DAN DA DAN season 1, episode 4. Momo and Okarun head to the promised tunnel to settle things with Turbo Granny. Their plan is to lure the location-bound spirit into a game of tag, then use Momo’s psychic powers to capture her. Just as they think they have won, a giant crab spirit bursts through the wall.
What happens in DAN DA DAN episode 4?
In “Kicking Turbo Granny’s Ass,” Momo and Okarun return to the promised tunnel to confront Turbo Granny. Crunchyroll’s episode synopsis says they play tag to draw the spirit away from her location; Momo’s psychic powers then help them capture her. The tunnel game is their attempt to settle the conflict, not a simple fight that ends the episode.

The apparent victory does not last. Netflix’s synopsis describes the sudden interruption: “Just when they think they’ve won, a giant crab spirit crashes through the wall.” That turn shifts the immediate danger from Turbo Granny to a new supernatural threat.
Do Momo and Okarun capture Turbo Granny?
Yes. Crunchyroll’s official synopsis says Momo uses her psychic powers to help capture Turbo Granny after the pair lure her away through their game of tag. But the capture is not a clean ending to the confrontation: the giant crab spirit appears just as they believe they have won.

What is the crab spirit at the end of episode 4?
It is a giant, crab-shaped location-bound spirit. Netflix describes it crashing through the wall, while Prime Video calls it a crab-shaped location-bound spirit coming after Momo and Okarun. The episode’s synopsis descriptions establish the new threat, but do not provide a further resolution here.
Where does “Kicking Turbo Granny’s Ass” leave the story?
