What’s in DC’s September 2024 solicitations?
The slate combines periodical issues, event tie-ins, new series and collected editions in hardcover, omnibus and trade paperback formats. Among its headline hooks are the continuing Absolute Power crossover, the launch of the DC Finest collection line, a new Black Label Plastic Man series by Christopher Cantwell, and a new Lobo series. The full solicitation and its individual listings are available from Comic Releases.
The listing uses abbreviations including TP or TPB for trade paperback, SC for softcover, HC for hardcover, FC for full color, DM for direct market, and FOC for Final Order Cutoff. Direct-market variants are chiefly ordered through comic shops and associated online stores and may not generally be available through Amazon or Barnes & Noble.

When were DC comics released in 2024?
In a February 22, 2024 announcement, DC said new periodicals would return to Wednesday releases beginning July 3, while collected editions and graphic novels would continue to release on Tuesdays. The publisher said periodicals had moved to Tuesdays after supply-chain disruption in 2020. DC Publicity described the shift as a return to “the industry standard of Wednesday releases” in its announcement.
That weekly schedule is distinct from the projected dates attached to individual books in a solicitation. A title appearing in the September cycle could have an on-sale date in October or November, as the collected-edition examples above illustrate.
