Crunchyroll announced higher U.S. monthly prices on February 2, 2026. Fan rises from $7.99 to $9.99, Mega Fan from $11.99 to $13.99, and Ultimate Fan from $15.99 to $17.99. Existing monthly subscribers were due to pay the new rate on their first billing date after March 4, 2026; the announcement date and the date a subscriber’s bill changes are not the same.

When does the increase take effect?
Crunchyroll announced the change on February 2, 2026. For existing monthly subscribers in the U.S., it said the new rate would appear on the next billing date after March 4, 2026. Check your account billing notice for the date and amount specific to your subscription.
What does each plan include?
Crunchyroll described the following features in its U.S. announcement. Benefits and availability can vary by country and may change.

For the Fan plan, Crunchyroll described downloads on one device as a new benefit. Its announcement also lists offline HD downloads for Mega Fan and Ultimate Fan. “Not listed” means the announcement did not identify that feature for the tier; it is not a claim about every local offer.
Is the annual Fan offer cheaper?
Crunchyroll announced a limited-time U.S. Fan Annual Plan for $66.99, paid as one charge for a year. The company expressed that as an effective $5.58 per month: $66.99 divided by 12 is $5.5825, rounded to the nearest cent. The announcement did not give an end date, so confirm the offer and terms at checkout rather than assuming it remains available.

Do the new prices apply outside the U.S.?
The change was not limited to a U.S. example, but the available announcements do not establish the full international scope. Crunchyroll’s France announcement lists Fan at €6.99, up from €5.99, and Mega Fan at €8.99, up from €7.99. It says existing subscribers would pay the new rate on their next billing date after March 4, 2026. Those figures should not be generalized to other countries or tiers; consult local checkout or your billing notice.
Why does Crunchyroll say it is raising prices?
Crunchyroll framed the increase as part of continuing to expand its anime offerings worldwide. Its “More of What They Love” wording is the company’s promotional description, not an independent assessment of whether a subscriber gets more value for the higher fee.

- Elfen Lied Complete Collection [Blu-Ray]
The announcement says the library includes 50,000+ episodes, 25,000 hours, and 2,000 series and films; these are company-published scale figures, not independently audited counts. It also points to teen profiles and PIN protection, multiple profiles, Skip Intro/Credits, and expanded device compatibility as recent or upcoming changes. Those examples explain the company’s rationale, but do not change the plan prices or establish that every feature is available to every subscriber.
