Yes. Chris Pratt said he injured his ankle while performing some of his own stunt work on Mercy, the science-fiction thriller starring Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson. In a January 20, 2026 interview with Extra, Pratt said he was tackled into a wall during a stunt and his foot came up and struck a post. He recalled that his ankle was “pretty jacked up” for about two weeks, while he was sitting in a chair for scenes.
Pratt joked that at his age he thought the injury might hurt for the rest of his life. That remark was not a medical assessment: the interview does not identify a diagnosis or establish lasting effects.
Was he doing the stunts himself?
Pratt said he did some of his own stunt work, but also credited his stuntman. He explained that the stunts were rehearsed several times before filming, including to get the cameras into position. His account describes a prepared sequence that still resulted in an ankle injury; it does not suggest he worked without stunt support.

When did the incident happen, and what was Mercy?
A report published April 19, 2024, said Pratt posted that the incident occurred on his fourth day of filming and described catching a metal post with his ankle. That report provides the timing, but it does not independently verify the medical details.
Mercy is a science-fiction thriller starring Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson. In its January 20, 2026 interview, Extra described the story as following a detective standing trial for his wife’s murder who must prove his innocence to an advanced AI judge.
