Cineplex’s six-week $5 Tuesdays campaign has ended. It ran every Tuesday from January 20 through February 24, 2026, offering $5 general-admission tickets and $5 small popcorn, plus tax. The online ticket total depended on membership and included a booking fee for most buyers.
When did Cineplex’s $5 Tuesday offer run?
The promotion was available on Tuesdays from January 20 to February 24, 2026. Cineplex’s promotion page now says the campaign has ended. The company has not established when—or whether—it will announce another $5 Tuesday campaign.
What did the promotion cost?
The in-theatre prices below were the campaign’s advertised amounts before tax. Online ticket totals included the applicable booking fee.
| Purchase | Price during the 2026 campaign |
|---|---|
| In-theatre general-admission ticket | $5 plus tax per ticket |
| Small popcorn | $5 plus tax |
| Online ticket for CineClub members | $5 plus tax |
| Online ticket for Scene+ members | $6 plus tax, including a reduced $1 booking fee |
| Online ticket for other customers | $6.50 plus tax, including the standard $1.50 booking fee |
These are the offer prices Cineplex published for its 2026 campaign, not a statement of current prices. See the January 14, 2026 announcement for the campaign terms.

What screenings and concessions were included?
General admission and small popcorn
The $5 ticket price applied to general-admission screenings, and the concession offer was for small popcorn. Cineplex’s announcement illustrated the cost as $20 for two people buying one ticket and one small popcorn each, or $40 for a family of four making the same purchase. Those figures are before tax and assume one ticket and one small popcorn per person.
Premium formats
Customers could upgrade to premium experiences such as UltraAVX or VIP for an additional per-ticket surcharge. Cineplex did not state a single surcharge amount in the campaign terms, so the $5 general-admission price should not be treated as the total for a premium-format ticket.

Is Cineplex still offering a Tuesday discount?
Cineplex lists regular discounted Tuesday ticket pricing separately from the ended $5 campaign. Its Tuesday pricing page says Scene+ members receive an additional 10% discount on Tuesday ticket prices. That ongoing discount is not the same offer as $5 tickets and popcorn; the page does not say the six-week campaign has returned. Cineplex’s Scene+ information explains the loyalty program.
