It occupied the former Sahara site at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, and featured different artist bookings on each weekend. The festival ran April 12–14 and April 19–21, 2024.
What was the Quasar stage?
Coachella introduced Quasar in 2024 as a stage built around longer DJ performances rather than the shorter sets common elsewhere on the festival bill. Billboard reported sets of three to four hours; the Los Angeles Times described DJs as performing for at least three hours. These reports describe the format, not exact set times for individual artists.
Goldenvoice executive vice president Jenn Yacoubian said the aim was to create “a stage where we can book talent on it in a way that we’ve felt we haven’t been able to in the past,” according to Billboard. The longer format gave DJs room for extended performances.
Where was Quasar, and what did it look like?
Quasar stood on the site previously used by the Sahara tent, as Billboard reported. The official 2024 access guide marks Quasar on the festival venue map, which is the best way to orient it relative to other stages and services.

| Weekend one | Honey Dijon b2b Green Velvet; Michael Bibi; Jamie xx b3b Floating Points and Daphni |
| Weekend two | Rüfüs du Sol DJ set; Eric Prydz b2b Anyma; Diplo b2b Mau P |
“b2b” denotes a back-to-back pairing; “b3b” denotes a three-artist back-to-back set. The distinction between weekends was in the artists and pairings: the stage’s format and location were shared.
Did Quasar have the same lineup both weekends?
No. The reported bookings changed between weekend one and weekend two. The Los Angeles Times also noted the lineup variation, and Coachella’s FAQ describes the festival’s general approach as matching lineups between weekends “except for our newest stage Quasar.” That exception helps explain why the two weekends had separate Quasar bills.

YouTube’s April 4, 2024 livestream announcement said viewers could watch six stage feeds each weekend, with TV multiview allowing up to four feeds at once. It directed viewers to Coachella’s YouTube channel, but did not name Quasar among the feeds. That announcement therefore does not confirm that Quasar performances were livestreamed or archived.
