This is the clearest documented relationship timeline among the claims commonly bundled into celebrity dating lists. It also illustrates why a long relationship, a reported romance, and a rumor should not be treated as interchangeable entries.
Did Eminem date Mariah Carey?
The claim is contested, not settled. A 2002 report attributed to Eminem the words “There is truth to the story” while discussing Carey. That statement records his side, but it does not resolve Carey’s conflicting account. What did Eminem say about dating after his divorce?
In a 2002 interview with MTV, Eminem said he was not looking for a new relationship: “I’m not looking for a new woman. Is Eminem dating Katrina Malota?
On October 16, 2025, TMZ reported that Eminem was dating stylist and makeup artist Katrina Malota, citing unnamed sources it described as having direct knowledge. The report said the relationship’s duration was unclear and that it had not received a response from Malota or Eminem’s representative at publication. The available sources do not establish a definitive roster of nine rumored names and six confirmed relationships. Dating-history listicles and aggregators may repeat names, but repetition is not confirmation. For each claim, the useful questions are whether either person confirmed it, whether reporting relies on named or unnamed sources, when the claim appeared, and whether it describes dating, a reported fling, a professional connection, or speculation.

For example, Eminem and Brittany Murphy appeared together in 8 Mile, but sharing a film is not evidence that they dated off screen. A professional connection or co-star pairing should not be promoted into a confirmed relationship without separate evidence.
