At the Ravens–Texans game in Houston, she performed with a confirmed lineup of musical guests and dancers; the dream collaborations below are an imaginative “what if,” not a report of planned or prospective bookings.
What happened at Beyoncé’s Christmas halftime show?
Beyoncé headlined halftime of the Baltimore Ravens–Houston Texans game at NRG Stadium in Houston on December 25, 2024, during Netflix’s NFL Christmas Gameday. Produced by Parkwood Entertainment and Jesse Collins Entertainment, the more-than-12-minute performance featured the first live performances of songs from COWBOY CARTER. Netflix later released it as the standalone special Beyoncé Bowl. Netflix’s recap covers the performance; the title page is the place to check current availability, which can vary by region and date.

Who actually joined Beyoncé onstage?
Netflix’s recap names six musical guests: Post Malone, Shaboozey, Reyna Roberts, Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, and Tiera Kennedy. Blue Ivy Carter appeared as a featured dancer. They are the confirmed participants—not a prediction list.
The show also made room for Houston and Texas culture. Texans cheerleaders performed, and Texas Southern University’s Ocean of Soul Marching Band took part with close to 200 members, according to Netflix. Rodeo-connected special guests included Melanie Rivera, Myrtis Dightman Jr., Nikki Woodward, and Ja’Dayia Kursh.

What songs shaped the performance?
The set drew heavily on COWBOY CARTER. Netflix’s recap lists “16 CARRIAGES,” “BLACKBIIRD,” “AMERIICAN REQUIEM,” “YA YA,” “SPAGHETTII/RIIVERDANCE,” “LEVII’S JEANS,” “JOLENE,” and “TEXAS HOLD ’EM” among the songs performed, with “TEXAS HOLD ’EM” closing the set.
Dream guests who would have fit the show
These are editorial what-ifs, chosen for a connection to the album’s material, the potential for an arresting live moment, or a link to the Houston, country, and rodeo setting. Nothing in Netflix’s account suggests that any of these artists was invited or considered.
Rank #2
Dolly Parton: a natural “JOLENE” moment
“JOLENE” was already part of the set, making Dolly Parton the clearest dream addition. A shared performance would have put the song’s original country lineage and Beyoncé’s reimagining in the same spotlight. It is an appealing counterfactual, not a claim that Parton was involved.
Willie Nelson: a bridge into country storytelling
Nelson would have brought another unmistakable country voice to a performance built around a country-centered album. A brief appearance alongside “AMERIICAN REQUIEM” or “16 CARRIAGES” could have emphasized the songs’ reflective side before the show returned to its bigger, more rhythmic numbers.

- Your favorite artist, Beyonce, on LP Vinyl.
- Immerse yourself in the genre of Hip Hop.
- Enjoy the music style of Country on LP Vinyl.
Linda Martell: a meaningful album connection
Martell’s presence would have tied the live set directly to one of the album’s featured voices and to the history of Black artists in country music. That would have made for a quieter, more historically resonant guest moment than another high-energy duet.
Janelle Monáe: a sharp fit for the show’s theatrical scale
Monáe could have matched the production’s visual ambition and helped turn a song such as “YA YA” into an especially kinetic exchange. This pick is about performance chemistry and spectacle, rather than a claim of a specific musical collaboration.
Rank #4
Houston artists: a hometown surprise
A guest with a strong Houston connection could have made the local setting even more personal. The actual appearance of the Ocean of Soul band and Texas rodeo figures already gave the show a substantial hometown and regional presence, so this hypothetical would have been an addition to—not a correction of—the community participation viewers saw.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How the wish list differs from the real guest list
The actual performance balanced album collaborators, dancers, a major marching band, cheerleaders, and rodeo-culture guests. A dream guest list can imagine alternate musical pairings, but the confirmed show’s identity was broader than celebrity cameos: it placed Beyoncé’s new live material inside a distinctly Houston and Texas setting.

Netflix’s recap says the show is available as Beyoncé Bowl. Streaming catalogs change, so check Netflix’s listing for availability in your territory rather than assuming it remains available everywhere.
For context on the rest of that holiday broadcast, Netflix’s Christmas Gameday coverage says Mariah Carey opened the event with “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” That was a separate part of the broadcast, not a Beyoncé halftime guest appearance.
