Sonia Kruger’s clearest Logies fashion favourite is a green silk Alex Perry dress she wore in 2006. Her recollections of other appearances tell a more varied story: a comfortable but now playfully dated 2002 look, an unusually soft 2023 dress, and a 2024 gown she changed out of before the ceremony so she could sit more comfortably.
In a 2025 retrospective for PerthNow, Kruger revisited selected outfits from her Logies appearances. The comments are her own memories and preferences, not an independent ranking of the red carpet.
Her standout favourite: the 2006 Alex Perry dress
Kruger says the strapless green silk dress Alex Perry made for her in 2006 is one of her favourite Logies dresses. She recalled that Perry was hesitant about the colour because it reminded him of his old school uniform, while she was determined to wear green.
“That dress I absolutely loved — it’s one my favorite dresses from The Logies.”

Her insistence paid off in a look she still singles out. “I remember (Alex) being quite reluctant to make it in that green, but I was really insistent,” she said.

2002: comfort, with hindsight
Kruger recalls choosing the tiger-print Dolce & Gabbana jersey dress partly because she was drawn to the label. The jersey made it comfortable, though she now teases the look for its reality-TV sensibility.

2023: a softer departure
The flowing Stephen Kalil and Sean Rentero dress stood apart from the sharper shapes Kruger says she tends to choose. “I generally tend to go for things that are a bit more edgy or structured,” she said. She liked the colour and the way the dress contrasted with the red carpet and her later ceremony outfit.
2024: the practical change
Kruger wore a very long FatimaK Designs gown on the red carpet, then changed into a rose-gold, one-shoulder dress for the ceremony. She explained that the second dress was “comfortable to sit down in.” The switch is a reminder that a red-carpet look and an outfit for a long event can serve different purposes.

Her Logies fashion story starts before these four looks
Kruger says she attended the Logies as early as 2000, when she wore a red pantsuit while working on Today Tonight. The PerthNow feature also reports that stylist Natalia De Martin plans her red-carpet look months ahead and that a six-person glam squad works on the occasion.
