Mattel’s collection spans these themes, but there is no comparative testing that establishes one set as objectively best. Browse Mattel’s Skipper collection and compare each product’s listed contents and age guidance.
Compare Skipper sets by the story they invite
Use the play theme as the starting point, then check whether the set has the figures and props a child wants and whether it lists an interactive feature. These are practical differences between products, not quality scores.
| Play theme | What the listed set offers | Best fit for |
|---|---|---|
| Babysitting and caregiving | Skipper, a baby doll, stroller, blanket, rattle, bottle, teddy figure and smartphone accessory. Mattel says the stroller bounces when pushed. (Mattel product listing) | Stories about taking care of a baby and going for a stroller ride. |

Choose the caregiving set for baby-and-babysitter play
The Skipper Babysitters Inc. Doll & Stroller Playset is the most fully specified caregiving option in this comparison. Its listing includes Skipper wearing a dress and shoes, a baby doll, a stroller, blanket, rattle, bottle, teddy figure and smartphone accessory. Choose the travel set for packing and pretend trips
Mattel lists a Skipper doll travel set with 10 accessories, luggage and a sticker sheet. Its props make travel preparation a natural starting point for stories: a child can imagine where Skipper is going and what she will do there. The listing does not establish comparative play quality or durability.
Choose a first-job set for work-themed role-play
The Skipper collection includes first-job examples such as a Target checkout set and a dog-walker set, alongside a waterpark set. Those themes can suit children who want to invent customer interactions, animal-care routines or activity-based scenes. The collection page does not promise that every example is in stock, and the specific figures and accessories vary by product.
