It is not identified as makeup used for her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit shoot. Her shoot preparation comes from a separate May 2026 interview and centers on consistent skincare, hair care and lifestyle habits.
What is Bethenny Frankel’s $13 foundation?
It is CoverGirl Simply Ageless Skin Perfector Essence Foundation, reported at $13 in The Daily Beast/The Looker’s September 19, 2026 coverage, which linked to an Amazon listing. Frankel applied it with a makeup brush and praised its lightweight feel and coverage. The report says she was impressed that a dime-sized amount covered her face; she described the sensation as, “I felt like it was putting hydration on my face.”
The article characterizes it as a skincare-makeup hybrid and attributes references to tranexamic acid, bakuchiol and up to 24-hour hydration to the product description. Those are product-description claims, not independent evidence of clinical effects. The reported $13 price can vary by seller and shade.
What skincare did Frankel describe for her Sports Illustrated shoot?
In a May 12, 2026 NewBeauty interview about her first Sports Illustrated Swimsuit spread, Frankel described a skincare sequence of exfoliation, serum, rich cream and SPF. She also said she uses sheet masks and named CeraVe Cream-to-Foam Facial Cleanser as a daily go-to, quoting its price as $16 in that interview. Frankel summed up her approach this way: “Skin care is about consistency throughout the year.”

These are her reported personal practices, not a documented product-by-product makeup list for the shoot. The interview does not name the $13 CoverGirl foundation as part of the shoot routine.
How did she prepare beyond skincare?
Frankel told NewBeauty she became more intentional about sleep and food before the shoot, tried body treatments, lymphatic drainage massages and a body scrub, and was more diligent about beach walks. She also described a hair routine that included supplements, a rich mask once or twice weekly, scalp exfoliant, hair-growth serum, oil on the ends and limiting heat. These details report what she said she did; they do not establish that the practices produce a particular beauty or health outcome.

What appeared in earlier Sports Illustrated runway coverage?
A separate NewBeauty report from June 2, 2025 covered Frankel’s runway show at Miami Swim Week—not the 2026 shoot. It named L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Glotion, reported at $17 at publication, and Nello Hydration Packets among products and preparation details. The story also mentioned Amazon shorts, in-office treatments and Dose Daily Cleanse. That earlier runway list should not be treated as the same routine she described for her later spread.
Bethenny.com published an expanded, shopping-oriented account of her 2026 preparation, listing additional products such as sunscreens, cleansers, creams, an overnight mask and supplements. It is a separate brand/person-site account, rather than the NewBeauty interview; its listed prices and product descriptions should not be taken as current or independently verified.
