The right plan depends on whether you want Hulu’s show and film library, fewer ads, Disney+, or live channels for sports and news. The prices below reflect Hulu’s official pages checked in August 2026; they are not a verified record of March 2026 prices.

Hulu’s signup page also showed a $9.99 first-month promotion that ended February 17, 2026, followed by $12.99 per month. That offer is expired, not a current discount. Check the checkout screen for the price, renewal date and eligibility terms applying to your account.
Which Hulu plan should you choose?
For Hulu shows and films
Choose an on-demand Hulu plan if you mainly want Hulu Originals, current-season television, films and older series. The ad-supported option costs less but includes commercial breaks. A premium option reduces ads in most of the on-demand library and supports downloads for eligible titles, but rights-restricted programs can still have short ad breaks.

For Hulu and Disney+
The Disney+, Hulu Bundle is a sensible starting point if your household wants both services. The bundle does not merge the catalogs into one complete library: some Hulu titles remain Hulu-app-only, and the services may require separate apps and account linking. The ad setting applies to each service as described for the selected bundle; premium does not eliminate ads from all live or linear programming. For live channels, sports and DVR
Choose Hulu + Live TV if you need live channels, local news, sports or recording, not merely a larger Hulu library. Hulu advertises more than 100 channels and unlimited DVR, but the channel lineup varies by location. Recordings can be retained for up to nine months, so unlimited storage does not mean permanent storage. Some recordings may also have playback or fast-forward restrictions.

Quick decision guide
- Lowest-cost Hulu access: start with the ad-supported on-demand plan or bundle and confirm the live price at checkout.
- Hulu plus Disney+: compare the two bundle tiers against the separate services you would otherwise pay for.
- Local channels, news or live sports: check Hulu + Live TV’s channel lineup for your address before subscribing.
- Occasional viewing: a monthly on-demand plan is a better fit than paying for Live TV you do not use.
- Frequent travel or multiple residences: review Live TV’s home-location and away-from-home rules before relying on it.
What Hulu + Live TV includes—and what it does not
Hulu + Live TV is a cable-replacement package that combines live channels with Hulu’s on-demand library and access to Disney+ and ESPN content through their respective apps. ESPN app access is not a guarantee that every ESPN channel, event or game is included. Check the specific event and service rights that matter to you.
The premium Live TV tier does not make live channels commercial-free. It removes ads from eligible on-demand Hulu and Disney+ libraries; live broadcasts and much on-demand programming associated with Live TV still carry advertising. Sports may also be subject to regional restrictions, rights agreements and local blackouts. Hulu’s Live TV page describes plan features and restrictions.

Check channels and sports before paying
- Use Hulu’s “View Channels in Your Area” tool on the Live TV page.
- Confirm that the local broadcast affiliates and sports networks you need appear for your address.
- Check whether the games you watch are subject to a blackout, regional restriction or separate streaming-rights deal.
- Compare the final monthly total after any sports, entertainment, Spanish-language, premium-network or screen add-ons.
Understand screens and location limits
Hulu’s Live TV plan description lists two simultaneous screens for the Hulu streaming library. An Unlimited Screens add-on changes that allowance, with restrictions when viewing away from home. Live TV uses location information for some content and is designed around a household home location; travel, VPN use and sharing across residences can create verification or playback problems.

Use Hulu’s official signup page. The page’s button labels can change, so follow the available plan and checkout controls rather than relying on a particular button name.

- Open hulu.com/welcome and select the on-demand plan, bundle or Live TV tier you want.
- Review whether the displayed amount is promotional or recurring, and note the first regular renewal date and price.
- Sign in with an existing account or create one, then provide the requested payment details.
- Check the offer’s trial length, eligibility, taxes and billing provider before submitting the subscription.
- Install Hulu on a supported device and sign in. For a bundle, follow the account-linking steps and use the relevant service apps.
- If you chose Live TV, set your home location and check local channels before depending on the service for broadcasts.

Do not confuse an expired introductory deal with a regular rate. Hulu’s surfaced $9.99 first-month promotion ended February 17, 2026; the page listed $12.99 per month afterward. Its terms do not establish that the deal is available now or that it applied to every subscriber.
How billing, plan changes and cancellation work
Who bills you determines where you manage the subscription. If you subscribed directly through Hulu, use your Hulu account settings. If Apple, Google, Roku, a carrier or another partner bills you, cancellation and some plan changes must be handled through that provider. Hulu lists separate help categories for billing, cancellation and third-party billing.
- Cancel: stops future renewal; access generally continues until the end of the paid billing period. Check your account or billing provider for the effective date.
- Change plans: the timing can depend on the change. Hulu says switching from Live TV to a regular Hulu plan takes effect at the next billing cycle.
- Remove an add-on: check the account’s effective date and billing terms; do not assume an immediate prorated refund.

Devices and setup checks
Hulu is available on many televisions, streaming devices, phones, tablets and computers, but support varies by model and can change. Check your exact device against Hulu’s supported devices list before subscribing. Separate help pages cover Android support and other platforms.
