What the performance looked like
A June 7, 2024 UPI report described Grande in a cat-ear mask and an all-black outfit on a rooftop-style set. The official video is identified as a performance, but its published description does not detail the staging. UPI’s contemporaneous account is the source for those visual details.
How the song fits into eternal sunshine
“the boy is mine” is a track on eternal sunshine. Universal Music Canada reported in 2024 that the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and was Grande’s sixth No. 1 album; that chart characterization is the label’s report. The May 30, 2024 ABC Audio announcement said Grande would perform the song on the June 6 episode and give her first late-night interview since 2021. ABC Audio’s announcement provided the booking context.
