About 2013–2014: Rose met Phoebe Dahl
In a January 2015 interview with Out, Dahl recalled meeting Rose at a barbecue “about a year” earlier. Rose said they met every day for three months before she proposed. March–July 2014: Rose and Dahl became engaged
CBS News reported in December 2015 that Rose had announced their engagement in March 2014, citing the couple’s social posts. Rose recounted that Dahl had turned down three proposals before surprising her with flowers and coffee and asking her to marry her. By July, Rose was describing Dahl as her fiancée in an interview with The Guardian.

December 2015: Rose and Dahl split
On December 15, 2015, CBS News republished Entertainment Tonight’s report that a source close to the couple confirmed their separation after nearly two years. Both shared affectionate public statements. Rose wrote, “I will forever treasure our time together. I’m a better person because of all we shared.” The statement reflects Rose’s words at the time of the split, not a later account of the relationship. CBS News’ report includes the statements.
November 2016: Origliasso confirmed she and Rose were dating again
During a radio interview, Origliasso confirmed that she was the Veronicas member dating Rose, responding, “That’s me!” She said they had first connected eight years earlier and had reconnected while making the band’s “On Your Side” music video, which Rose wrote and directed. Origliasso’s confirmation was reported by ELLE Australia on November 7, 2016.
2017: Rose discussed the relationship publicly
Time summarized Rose’s interview with Cosmopolitan in February 2017, including her comments about her relationship with Origliasso and long-term partnership. This establishes that Rose was publicly discussing the relationship then; it does not establish how long it continued afterward.
