One roundup attributes a tweet about finding time to relax to him; other profiles preserve his encouragement to work hard, stay positive and trust in God. Here are the sourced examples, with their limits made clear.
Why a verified list of ten tweets isn’t available
The sources available for this topic do not establish the original ten-post list or provide ten individually verifiable tweets. Beliefnet’s celebrity-inspiration roundup attributes one message to Rev Run. Two other publications quote or describe inspirational words from Simmons, but do not establish that those words were tweets. Presenting ten quotations as authentic posts would go beyond what the sources support.
The uplifting messages that can be sourced
Make room to rest
Beliefnet’s roundup attributes this message to Rev Run and lists the account name @RevRunWisdom: “Here’s a secret… The time to really relax is when you think you don’t have time to… That’s a real secret though… shhh 🙂 ” The roundup does not give the post’s date, so the wording can be attributed to Rev Run as transcribed there, but not dated as a verified original post. Read Beliefnet’s roundup.
Keep working and stay positive
A 2012 Miami New Times profile quotes Simmons: “Go forward! Work hard & be positive! Remember! The world owes you nothing because the world was here before you.” The profile documents the sentiment, but does not identify it as a tweet. Read the Miami New Times profile.

Trust in faith
Christian Today’s 2006 account of Simmons’s book quotes him saying: “The Lord is Good! I cannot express how Important it is to trust in Him!” It reports that inspirational phrases he sent to family and friends spread by word of mouth and led to Words of Wisdom: Daily Affirmations of Faith. This is evidence of his wider practice of sharing encouragement, not proof that this quotation appeared in a tweet. Read Christian Today’s account.
Rev Run’s wider practice of sharing wisdom
Forbes identified Simmons as a founding member of Run-D.M.C. and author of Words of Wisdom. A 2013 Forbes profile said nearly 3,000,000 people followed his daily inspirational words on Twitter at that time. That is a historical follower count, not a current figure or a measure of any particular message’s impact. Read the Forbes profile.
