Malaysian influencer Jasmine Yong said her two-year-old son, Enzo, was found unresponsive in a hotel’s indoor pool during a family stay in May 2024. Enzo later died, according to an account shared by Yong and reported by People in a story syndicated by Yahoo News Malaysia on May 22. According to the account reported by People, Yong, her husband Lim Kong Wang, and their two-year-old son checked into a hotel on Saturday, May 11, 2024, for a Mother’s Day celebration. Yong said Enzo fell asleep after snuggling with his parents and drinking milk, and that she and her husband also napped.
Yong said that when she woke, Enzo was no longer beside her. In a statement quoted in English translation by the report, she wrote: “When I woke up, I found that he was not next to me.” She said the door to the indoor pool, which she understood had been locked earlier, was open, and that she found Enzo unresponsive in the pool.
The reported emergency response and hospital timeline
The story relays Yong’s account that she and her husband tried CPR. She said poor network service made it difficult to call for help, so they sought assistance from hotel staff in the lobby to call an ambulance.

As reported by People, Enzo was taken for treatment and his heartbeat returned about half an hour later. Yong’s account said he remained comatose and later died after his heartbeat stopped; she attributed this to insufficient oxygen. The report does not include medical records, so these details should be understood as the family’s account rather than independently verified clinical findings.

The report says Yong asked followers to pray for Enzo while he was in intensive care in a May 16 post. She later shared the circumstances of the incident and his death.
